Programme on Mental Health of Women

Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra ®, Vimukti, Banakal Unit organized an
awareness programme on “Mental Health of Women on 8th December 2017
at Lokavalli village, Mudigere Taluk, Chikkamagaluru District.
The Programme began with a prayer song invoking God’s Blessings. The
lighting of the lamp was done by the resource person Dr Sr Judy
Lewis, Clinical Psychologist and Counsellor.
The resource person highlighted the most important aspect of mental
health especially in women. Whenever there is stress and pressure at
work place, on family and domestic matters, it is apt and necessary
to approach the Counsellors to seek help and personal guidance
without any inhibitions. Advocate and Director of Sarvodaya Welfare
Institute Rev. Fr. Joachim D Souza stressed the importance of having
trust and confidence in each other while sharing the difficulties,
problems, worries and challenges of life.
Fr. Vincent D’ Souza, the Director of Vimukti, Banakal Unit welcomed
the resource persons and the participants. Ms. Savitha, secretary of
Lokavalli SHG Cluster rendered the vote of thanks. Ms Cheluvi
compared the programme.
